And while our choirs continue to carry the same classic sound that ONLY Detroit can produce, there is still a lifestyle that we christians KNOW is against the will of God! It's choir of 250+ voices, back in the day, would march in just like this, with Fred Nelson, Jr. or the III, wearing the Hammond organ out. And when they came on the air with their weekly broadcast singing this song, you knew something extraordinary was about to happen in that "Hour with Jesus", as Lucius Hall, one of the announcers, would call it. We can thank God for these memories, and the great spirit of Rev. Nicks.

Aug 11, 2008 - I understand your concern, for I too miss those services such as this. I experienced these services in Chicago at First Church and Fellowship, however. Nevertheless, we must encourage each other to always go forward in faith with our eyes on Jesus. Big choral sounds, lifestyles, fashion, order of services, etc, will all pass away. But God never fails, and the best is yet to come. God knows our hearts, and rewards those who diligently seek Him.
