This was filmed on the 29/06/2008 300 metres from syndal railway station towards glen waverley. This was filmed in melbourne, australia by company operater connex melbourne. I was putting my camera on the railway tracks and was attending the train would go over it with no fuss. But it did'nt turn out the way I intended it to, the driver was going really slowly and halfway up the syndal grade, it made a big horn warning me to stay of the railway line. As he was approaching towards me; he slowly opened the door and was talking to me, however I disagreed to get of the railway line because my camera was on the railway tracks, so he said to me if I were to be doing this again, he would call the police, although he called the cops anyway, and now I'm on a police log. ps. This was filmed exactly at 4:13pm.

Sep 3, 2008 - he did the rigth thing, you were doing the wrong thing. simple as that. but to alter this situation what you can do is apply to connex for a permit to take photos or footage of their trains and that pass is good for a year - you then approach the nearest manned station to where you want to film and let them know what you want to do and then STAY CLEAR OF THE TRACKS when you have the camera, with permission to be there, on the track and rolling....
neilegend Says:
Sep 3, 2008 - the station master will let metrol know and then they can let drivers of those trains know you are there. so do it right and everyone is happy. his comment to you about jumping in front of the train is completely valid - a train takes over 500 meters to stop when at top track speed in suburban areas and over 750 m in country areas! so if he feels he has to slam on the brake for someone being close to the track he will - and then run late!

Sep 3, 2008 - I didn't necessarily mean any harm, confusion or delay to "public Transport" I just wanted many viewers and comments on this video, and if you have any Problems with that, just wait and see what's gonna happen.

Oct 4, 2008 - man, you should tresspass on the lines - think what a driver must go through - this guy might jump infront of my train and kill himself - thats traumatic. Also, all just for a youtube vid? Why risk all of this for that? think a bit harder next time/

Oct 5, 2008 - I DID read the DESCRIPTION!!!??? I know you didn't have a bad intention but you gota think about the other aspects of it - either way I'm sure you will have learnt your lesson and you wont do it again. Sorry if i sounded agressive but I was only feeling worried for you, being the same age as me etc, i couldnt even think about trespassing on the railway and getting on a polic log. Maybe its a bit different in england, but i was geniuinley feeling upset for you watch the vid. desiro5

Jul 17, 2008 - Pretty risky business there, bud... Just be safe. I have to say, though, the 'on the tracks' shot would have been cool.
