Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart introduced a resolution, which was passed by the House on July 23, 2008. The resolution expresses the gratitude and appreciation of the House of Representatives to the professionalism and dedication of the United States Capitol Police as the House honors the 10th Anniversary of the tragic deaths of Officer Jacob Chestnut and Detective John Gibson, who lost their lives protecting the Capitol and the people inside from an armed attack.
