Roman Catholics penitents in the Philippines carry out a traditional Good Friday march. They re-enact the suffering and death of Jesus Christ. Personal suffering is strenuously emphasized in third world countries, like the Philippines and South America. They are taught by their church leaders that their own sufferings are meritorious towards their salvation. The Catholic Church teaches that one's suffering can be applied to someone already dead languishing in the flames of purgatory. Yes, these penitents are actually being nailed to the cross. We need to pray for these people ensnared in such bondage and error.

Mar 22, 2008 - I walked passed the local catholic church 1/2 an hour ago and tears erupted from my eyes-just happenned. I wanted to talk with a Christian for my own reasons(phew!) and I heard a definate,"just keep walking"-and I remembered an abomination I witnessed there when I went along with a neighbour to support her a couple of years ago,a Phillipino actually now I think of it,loves Jesus!Pray for them.

Mar 22, 2008 - These Catholic idiots only have small nails nailed into the palms of their hands whereas the Lord Jesus Christ has large nails nailed into His wrists. If you want to know what the difference is between these maniacs self-mutilating and the Lord Jesus Christ suffering beyond human comprehension, then read my profile box. Don, you ought to take this video down because it makes it look like other people in 2008 are suffering just as much as the Lord has suffered when we know that is not the case.

Mar 22, 2008 - I appreciate your concern. But these people in no way shape or form are suffering like Our Lord. Jesus Christ was taking upon Him all the sin of the world. He was beaten to a pulp, abandoned, and naked. What man suffers will never, ever equate to the suffering of Jesus. The traditions these people perform actually mocks the work Christ did. This is why I bring it to your attention.

Mar 22, 2008 - Nice to see someone highlighting cult like events which we must stay away from. Can anyone point out that what they are doing is asked of us according to the Scriptures?

Mar 25, 2008 - I was in the P.I. and witnessed this. Very deluded people. There are some very good fundamental congregations there though. I pray these others will come to know Jesus as the way, the truth, and the light.

Apr 28, 2008 - justifies the statement that catholicism is satanic and has nothing to do with biblical christianity...

May 4, 2008 - if we love God , we need to preach the gospel and love people , we should love ourselves too,Jesus died for us , we can't died for anyone or God like this way, this is not the spirit to follow =)
