This sighting of a coyote in our neck of the woods was so random. At 3:30pm one afternoon in Nov. '07 I spotted a coyote next to my driveway! This was 9 months after a coyote killed my beloved Yorkie "Bear" in our driveway. At the time, we had NO IDEA whatsoever that there were coyotes in Western NC. Seeing this coyote in broad daylight dismissed any doubt in our mind as to what killed our little dog. Since then, we've put a tall fence with slats every 2" around our yard to keep these predators away from our pets.

Jun 24, 2008 - I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I just recently lost my mini poodle of 8 years, Dino to a coyote a week before my birthday right outside my house. It shattered my heart. I swear, everytime I see one of these fuckers I want to run it over.
