Oct 6, 2008 - bravo for doing this. I couldn't believe how all these police officers feel as though they can make you do things simply because they say so. Just goes to show that they don't regularly practice actual law, they practice power trips. Someone should write the sheriff dept of effingham and commend them. I know they were only acting how they should, but it seems to be quite above the norm these days.

Jul 16, 2008 - Give that one Illinois officer that treated you with actual respect a raise and make him the sheriff cause that was perfect. On a side note. I do not mind TELLING a police officer my name or address if I am walking on the side of the street which legally identifies me to the police officer. But I do not feel I have to show an driver's license or anything else. That is just too much.
