Afshin Rattansi interviews the former head of the UN Correspondents Association, Masood Haider, on condemnation of Israel by the Secretary-General. DAKAR, March 13 (Reuters) - U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon called on Israel on Thursday to halt attacks using "disproportionate and excessive force" against Palestinians. "Israel's disproportionate and excessive use of force has killed and injured many civilians including children ... I condemn these actions and call on Israel to cease such acts," Ban told an Islamic summit in Senegal's capital Dakar.
