I had a surgeon remove those parts of my brain that used to know French language. I keep the pieces in a jar of alcohol on my desk to remind me, though I've almost thrown out the jar many times on accident.

I could find more fault in the United States and public policy and how gullible so many of us are. France is particularly exciting in one respect: The young people are rebelling against a kind of sociopolitical order that truly overshadows all of their futures. They speak out and act out--and that is good! Thank you for you continuing commentary.
