My dads old 1985 camaro 2.8 v6. It had a custom dual exhaust and it was loud.. I dont care what you say the v6 was powerful as hell and I remember doing crazy doughnuts with this car when I was 8 years old. I wish i still had it.

Mar 29, 2008 - The Base 2.8's were dogs dave unless you took REALLY good care of them but the 2.8 High Output were beasts I dont care what anyone says.. I have personally seen 2 of them hit the 300k mark, 1 hit the 450k mark and *depending on how truthful an internet source is* There is someone who claims 740k and still running.. all of which are original engines Also that is MILES

Jun 16, 2008 - rebuilt or no?
EdDogg83 Says:
Jun 16, 2008 - for which ones? I know the 300k wasnt rebuilt, not sure about the 450k and 740k
drgnzadiel101 Says:
Jun 16, 2008 - wow thats crazy. i think most on a honda ive seen in person has been 250k. thats pretty good if that motor can last that long. kudos!
EdDogg83 Says:
Jun 16, 2008 - I know lol I personally dislike imports but I do have to give honda props for some of there engines, Ive seen them hit the 300k mark as well. Also look around for either "1,000,000 mile car" or 1 million mile car.. theres a couple that have hit that mileage

Jun 18, 2008 - yo justin that car was sick i remember ur dad always picked me up for soccer in it btw this is colvin so u dont u want u to think it is a random person
jujujus2 Says:
Jun 18, 2008 - car had 90,000 miles at this time and no rebuilt
golfcarttractor Says:
Jul 1, 2008 - That engine is rated at 135hp a 305 from that era has about 160 so 135hp really is a lot of hp nice car.
jujujus2 Says:
Jul 2, 2008 - yes also, I would put performance parts on it too.. and remember it had custom exhaust so that adds 5 hp.
AreWildZ28 Says:
Jul 17, 2008 - Hope you did not get rid of that car! I have a '79Z that sat for 16 years. I now take it to cruise nights here in W.N.Y.
