I'm just a guy from little ol' Salem, Oregon. It's been a wonderful past 6 years or so: going to a conservatory, getting good enough at the oboe to take me around the country playing in orchestras, meeting other amazing musicians and learning from some of the best oboists in the world. Moving to California in 2006 was a turning point for me, because it was a venue which let me bring out my voice which had remained ignored in pursuit of becoming a professional oboist. After singing a lot in LA with the wonderful performance opportunities that USC provides for solo artists, working with a professor who changed my whole outlook on the way to convey lyrics to the audience, and dipping my foot in musical theatre, I came to a crossroad. This ultimately led to the decision to pursue singing for my career path. I'm trying to be responsible by coming back to Salem and working to save money so I may go out and pursue my dreams.
